The coach used on the first morning service and the last afternoon service may vary, depending on the number of passengers expected to travel.

Passengers travelling on Kapiti Commuter monthly passes will be able to travel on connecting local services (routes 262, 261, 260, 250)) for free.

Routes 262, 261, 260 and 250 connecting services for first trip depart Paraparaumu Station at 5:34pm and for second trip depart at 6:14pm. If afternoon Kapiti Commuter services run late, then transfers will be accepted on later services.

    *A $10.00 refundable deposit is required for the initial issue of a Smart Card for 10 trip Monthly fares.

    If you travel on the Kapiti Commuter you can purchase a 10 Trip and **Monthly Pass using our SmartCards. A $10.00 refundable deposit is required for the initial issue of a Smartcard.

    The Kapiti Commuter 10 Trip:

    The 10 Trip Smartcard will be available for 10 uses, with each use electronically deducted from the smartcard. A $10.00 refundable deposit is required for the initial issue of a Smartcard. Both the 10 Trip and the Monthly Pass smartcard retain their stored value functionality for use on all Mana services.

    Once you receive your smartcard, you may ‘top up' your smartcard on the bus or at our offices at any time.

    The Kapiti Commuter Monthly Pass (not available until further notice):

    The Monthly Pass Smartcard is available for 30 days from the date of first use. A $10.00 refundable deposit is required for the initial issue of a Smartcard. Both the Monthly pass and the 10 Trip smartcard retain their stored value functionality for use on all Mana services.

    Once you receive your smartcard, you may ‘top up' your smartcard on the bus or at our offices at any time.

    How do I Purchase a Ten-Trip or Monthly Pass?

    • Existing Smartcard Holder: Hand your card to the driver with the correct money to purchase your ticket option. You will be issued with a "faulty card" form that you can use for travel until you receive your upgraded smartcard. Your smartcard will be loaded with the ticket option you have requested and will be activated the first time you use the card.
    • New Owner of a Kapiti Commuter Ten Trip/Monthly Pass Smartcard:

    Our Standard "Smart Card" may be used on this service for single and return fares, but the normal 20% discount will not apply to Kapiti Commuter Fares.
